My name is Robert, and I’m from Poland. I came to Tohoku University to join the IMAC-U program. During my freshman year, in 2024, I became a member of TUFSA. And now, I am very honored to be the president of Japan’s oldest international student organization.
Honestly, I joined TUFSA out of curiosity. I attended a few events, I knew a few people there. Quickly, I realized I wanted to experience what it is to be part of this community. Needless to say, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my university life. Being part of this organization is incredibly special. Besides being able to meet new, amazing people, I also get to be a part of many amazing events, the Halloween and Christmas parties among my favorites.
I realized that being part of the organizing team brought me immense satisfaction. Seeing students have fun at our events brings me lots of joy and drives me to make each and every one better than the previous. In the end, it was this joy and satisfaction that led me to volunteer to become TUFSA’s president.
In my term as the leader, I would love to expand our organization. Expand not only in terms of the people, but also in terms of possibilities. I want to focus on TUFSA’s full potential as a community-building platform that will strengthen the bond between both international and domestic students in the university.
I would like to warmly invite all the considering members to come and join us. If you like organizing events, building a community, and hanging out with a bunch of nice fellas, TUFSA is for you.
